" a unique blend of Grenache, Tempranillo and Malbec grapes has resulted in an astounding red that's full-bodied yet silky and alluring." Matthew Jukes (Daily Mail)
The twenty third release of The Fergus named after Tim's neighbour, who was good enough to sell him his Grenache grapes in the vintage of 1993, during a desperate shortage of Shiraz and Cabernet.
A sensational blend of Grenache, Tempranillo and Malbec that just works a treat. A savoury and spicy wine, it’s medium-weight and blessed with redcurrant, red cherry, gum leaf and an assortment of dried spice flavours, the end result one of seamless deliciousness.
The wine is elegant and fresh, light to medium-bodied, but with good line, length and balance to its predominantly red fruit flavours and silky tannins. It’s delicious, fruity and powerful, the oak is subtle and adds another layer of complexity it finishes with good length and balance.

Provided this for a party of 60 last November , and had positive feedback ( including from an Australian!). Think this is the third time I have ordered it - so clearly I think it is good. Service from Craig and the team is always good.
A great addition to our favourites list. Perfect with my BBQ rack of lamb
Received ,wine in 24hrs from ordering
Discovered this wine about 5 years ago following a review on a TV cookery program and it is excellentf or a red which we don't normally drink. We could buy it at a reputable supermarket but all of a sudden it disappeared from sale. Have been researching where we could buy it from ever since and came across AWC. We haven't thus batch yet but I have to say the service and delivery was excellent. Would recommend
I hadn’t had The Fergus for many years, although I used to buy it regularly sometime ago. So I opened my recent purchase with some trepidation. I needn’t have been concerned as it was excellent. I’ve opened three recently and all were consistent. It’s a mellow wine without any sharpness and tastes very much of the grapes. Great with any red meat, chicken or pasta. And is fine 2-3 days later. The service and delivery were, as always, excellent.
