Tim Adams Clare Valley Semillon 2019 12.5% 6x75cl
Tim Adams Clare Valley Semillon 2019 12.5% 6x75cl
-
A fresh and bright wine that has the grassy and plush stone fruit characters of Semillon and a wonderful, zesty palate with gorgeous, tropical fruit characters - think limes, apricots and grassy, lemony loveliness. Fermentation in new French oak plays a huge role in toning white fig, nettle and lemon drop candy notes, bridled to a lively undercarriage of acidity that is juicy rather than forced.
While a delightful drink early in its life, it will also age beautifully and begin to display a denser and more complex palate as the years pass.
- Food Pairing
-
It has diverse food compatibility—in particular with seafood and pasta.

Haven't tried this yet, but I'm always happy with what I get from the AWC, and the customer contact/reliability of delivery is always first class.
I think I will keep this 5 year old for flavours to develop: too oak dominant at the moment for my taste.
I did discovered Tim Adams Semillon when I visited the winery in the Clare Valley eight years ago and I bought a ten year old bottle. I buy them frequently now and wait until they are ten years old.
My difficulty is will I be able to keep this wine to rate it when it’s aged more. Frankly I’ve found it pretty good now and certainly one of the better Semillon that I’ve tasted recently. Very well priced as well.
I'd bought six bottles of the 2008 vintage from a major supermarket many years ago, and drank the final bottle only last month. It was superb, rich and honeyed - exactly what mature Semillon should be. This is top quality wine at a great price. Excellent service and very quick delivery too.
