"the fruit has enough heft and weight to rise above the oak that encases it, and drives the wine across the mouth – powered by blackberries, cocoa, cassis, jubes and gentle spice. Compelling drinking for the money. Big bang for buck," James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion
The colour is deep ruby with vibrant purple edges, indicating youth and freshness. The nose is Inviting and expressive, with aromas of ripe dark berries—blackberry, mulberry, and plum—interwoven with hints of black pepper, clove, and subtle mocha oak. There’s a touch of violet and liquorice, adding aromatic lift and intrigue.
The palate is juicy and medium-bodied, this Shiraz shows generous dark fruit flavours upfront—black cherry and plum—balanced by soft, approachable tannins and a thread of gentle spice. Oak is well-integrated, contributing a light toast and chocolate note without dominating the fruit.
The finish is smooth and rounded, lingering with dark berry richness and a touch of spice, making it immediately enjoyable and food-friendly. A great match for grilled lamb, chargrilled vegetables, or a smoky eggplant dish.
Mr. Mick Wines, is named after the late K.H. (Mr. Mick) Knappstein, an Australian winemaking legend and Tim Adams’ mentor, who he was apprenticed to at Leasingham Wines in the 1970s. Tim aims to continue Mr. Mick’s philosophy of making “affordable wines for everyone to enjoy”.

This is a superb flavourful wine, a balance of flavours with à great finish.A good company to deal with, very helpful
A fine example of what got me into Aussie wine 40 years ago.. fruit and enough acidity and tannin to balance. All at a great price and delivered super quick.
Having been a fan of Tim Adams Shiraz for many years, and watched its price climb steadily, I thought I’d try this shiraz from the same stable.
Lacks the fullness of the TA Shiraz, with more obvious and coarser tannins, but fairly smooth and certainly ´fruity’. A good everyday quaffing wine, but no more than that.
Very good value for money. Excellent delivery, extremely fast and efficient and no charges for delivery. Very impressed!
